TerpTicker's What To Watch For

1) With the ban on signs at football games recently lifted, TV cameras will be roaming the UVA student section for anti-Groh rhetoric -- and there should be lots of it. And unless the Cavs can right the ship today, the "Groh must go" chant seems inevitable.

2) Da'rel Scott's health and the improvement of our O-line's run blocking are paramount. The Terps can't expect to win games averaging 2.1 yards per rush. Friedgen has stressed that Scott needs to run more north-south; but it's hard to run between the tackles when the O-line isn't creating holes.

3) Defensively, the Terps can't let UVA's struggling QB Marc Verica sit back in the pocket and gain confidence. We need to apply pressure like we did in the second half of the Clemson game. I think it's safe to say that Cosh's three-man rush, bend-don't-break defense is ineffective. Also, let's avoid another breakout game from Mikell Simpson.

4) Keep tabs on UVA's left guard, Austin Pasztor. The kid is only 17-years old, making his first career start after the starting LG went down with an injury. I think it's harder to exploit an inexperienced guard than a tackle -- but that's just my opinion.

PREDICTION: Terps, 24-14
